Check your rims now for any paint that has been scratched off in the tire swap. I had to touch up a few spots as they were showing some rust.

411.16 shipped, no rubbing at all they are a perfect fit, and the speedometer is only off 1 mph and the dealer said they can reflash the computer for this size tire :smiley_thumbs_up:

215/70/16 general grabbers

Can anyone check if this special size for the grabbers have the snowflake on them ?

 

i have the exact same tires as you, but i had gotten my rims powder coated. mine cost me $486 US installed onto the rims. with nitrogen fill. in buffalo.
i believe they do have the snowflake on the tire. i get really good traction with these compared to the stock goodyears that came with mine in 205/70/16.

i just wish i had gone one size bigger though to 225/70/16, but then again i have a 4x2.

jessi - can you double check for me on the snowflake. I hear they're going to be pressing for the snowflake symbol going up to whistler this year and i want to make sure those tires are snowflake rated. Cheers.

yeah i know tirerack said they are not, but another site said they were, Thats why i had asked. Once again, tirerack is correct!

 

They can be studded, which I would take over any snowflake rated tire Some places don't allow you to stud your tires though.

I've finally took a good decision regarding tires. one year ago, i chose 205/80R16 in order to get as much lift, but got little rubbing when cornering so i decided to install some tires that are almost the same as oem.

I got some pirelli scorpion s/t m+s. They are good in snow combined with 4x4, they are all season, they are good for highway use and they are not noisy.

 

having a set of General Grabber HTS 215-70R16's put on tomorrow -- anyone have there speed/odom reflashed after going to a non-stock tire size? ---if so, cost?

 

for this type of tire is not necessary, the error is to low, when reading 100 you are actually 101.

they are good in the snow! I drive from ohio to western ny to ski every weekend in the winter, I have no problums on the highways or the unplowed roads to the ski hill, Most of the highways out that way don't get plowed well and get closed a few times a year(like rt. 90 in eire pa this sunday).I also hunt and have taken it off road crossing creeks,and going up small muddy hills with ease. the tires are worth the cash you pay for them
