I'm going to look at this Patriot Monday. Hopefully it's there, it's in transit right now. Anyway I can look at the window sticker online and it has listed a "Latitude" badge under options. Does anyone know anything about a Latitude edition Patriot or the 26B package?? I googled 'jeep patriot latitude badge' and things came up for jeep liberty latitude edition so.... Here is a link to the window sticker http://www.jeep.com/hostc/getWindowStickerPdf.do?vin=1J4NF1GB3AD619875

They don't have any pics listed! but the dealer is offering a down payment match up to $4000. Only thing is I'm between jobs right now so I have to wait to buy.:(

Edmunds.com lists a "latitude preferred package" 26B, so apparently yes it does exist. :wow:

OK, looking at the packages I can tell you what's going on here. Jeep has renamed the trim packages. Rather than getting a Sport D package, you're now getting a Sport X Package. Rather than getting a Sport E or Limited, you're now getting a "Latitude" package.

Based just on what I'm seeing here, that's pretty much the only difference. You'll get a little badge on your Patriot too, but it's still just a new term for "Sport E/Limited package."

Hope you enjoy your buy. :)

I don't think the "Latitude" is the same as Limited because I still see 2010 Limited models listed. Basically I came to the conclusion that its just a quick order package like you said about Package D, or X. I also saw that on edmunds and they have 25A, 25B, 26B, and 28B packages listed as well. Go here for descriptions. Looks like the 26B is the closest you can get to a Limited without it actually being a Limited.

So I have a new question.... I just remembered that I get an employee discount from my company on Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge vehicles. I would pay 1% below factory invoice and can still get other incentives.:) Does anyone have a ballpark idea of what the factory invoice would be of the Patriot I posted in the first post?

Thanks.

Update: I went to the dealer today but of course the Patriot that I wanted wasn't in yet. So I drove a similar one but it wasn't a 4x4. I have to say I was pretty impressed with it but it felt like it was going to die at times. Like the engine was hesitating or something. Is this normal?

So here are the three Patriots I'm looking at.....I cant choose which color I want!? I'm leaning toward the white one but I want the wheels to have the dark colored spokes. Dealer said he can't swap out the wheels because they are "VIN specific" and it's against federal regulations to change the tires>??????

Also notice the "Latitude" badge under the mirror on the drivers side.

Sounds like BS to me. I was looking at a Wrangler X before I settled on the Patriot. Part of the deal was they were going to swap out the wheels and tires from a Rubicon. I was going to have to shell out some loot, but they were going to give me credit for the stockers. The dealer probably just didnt want to give up a freebie. If you want the tire and wheel group, you can get the tire and wheel group.

My guest would be that's the US version of the North edition we're having here in Canada since a year or 2. The badge looks exactly the same as the North's one, and all the options seems to be the exactly the same. Nice package with a load of stuff! :)

Well I called after I left the dealership the other day after I kept insisting that they change the wheels. I just didn't like the bright silver ones and wanted the ones with the gray spokes. I told them that if I was paying 20k for a car I want it to be how I want it and if they wouldn't change it the deal was off. So, they decided to change the wheels only, not the tires, which I understand because the window sticker specifies which tires are on the vehicle has but not the color of the wheel.

Anyway it cost me $160 to change the wheels (labor basically) and it looks SO much better. I picked up my Patriot yesterday and am going to sign the loan docs in about 30 minutes. I will post pics as soon as I take some.

No tow package on Sport X

Now that you can only order tow package with Latitude or Limited, if I wanted a Patriot with FDII and towing I'd have to pay $23,690, even after local rebates. Meanwhile, a Forester with towing, similarly equipped, is about $400 less. Granted, Forester doesn't have skid plates or tow hooks, but the towing system combined with the value of Sport D/no power windows/FDII was one of the things the Patriot had going for it for me.

E: when I mean "no tow package", I mean it isn't even available on Sport X at all, even as an option. I'm looking through the options on the Jeep website and can't find it.

woah! The patriot now comes with HEATED mirrors?

That's one of the few things I wish my 09 limited had.

I just ran through the build your own for latitude and limited. Power heated mirrors are available on latitude but not limited.

It'll fix the sunroof leak since the Latitude package doesn't come with a sunroof UNLESS the sun & sound package is added. I don't care for or need a sunroof so I'm happy without it.
