I know you already said that is complicated to find original parts, but the only way I found to fit them "nice" is using part number 82210706. Is listed in US' Ebay, so not sure if maybe can be shipped to UK.
The bracket bolts to the metal bumper below the plastic cover. No cracks or rattle.

I got one of these light bar mounts, cut the tube off and mounted it backwards.

 

I had one of those light bars and returned it, when I fitted it behind the UK number plate it really looked ugly and the number plate didn’t fit properly either.

Do you think there could be an issue fixing the lights and the brackets they come with directly to the bumper?

 

I've seen several Patriots with lights mounted right to the plastic bumper, but I have heard stories of the plastic cracking after a while. If you do decide to go that route, take the bumper off of the vehicle and use either large metal washers on the bottom of the plastic, or even better, a large metal plate that spans the distance between the mounting bolts.

 

I mounted a 20in lighbar on top of the radiator. Drilled holes into the mounts, fits perfect.
