I've been shopping for OEM or hub centric winter rims and couldn't find any in town.

When I tried to get centering rings for multi fit rims I couldn't find them either. So I asked the Canadian Tire parts department manager at Coventry Road in Ottawa to answer this question: "Do you think it is safe to use multi-fit rims without centering rings on an all wheel drive Jeep?"

He said " I am not going to answer that question"

Er Thanks, big product confidence build there.

I then asked him "Do you think it is ethical to sell multi fit rims without centering rings?"

He said that it would be an issue for the customer and not them.

So much for tire experts.

Buyer beware and best all be ignorant too.

lol. I'm not gonna say u should or shouldn't use hub centric rings on winter rims. but.

example.
i ran winter rims on my patriot 2 winter ago. i used winter rims from my 03 grand caravan. the bolts matched up and so i tightened the lugs and that was the end of it. the hub was centered in the hole in the rim. this winter. i got my stock 16 inch steelies powder coated black and im getting general grabbers installed tomm.

hope it helps

Last year I had a problem finding hub centric steel wheels also. I guess our jeeps are fairly new and tires shops dont have correct dimensions for our bolt pattern. I'm sure they do now, but what I found out is that some madzas particularly the mazda 3 has the exact dimensions(5x114.3 67.1mmCB) as the patriot. So what I did was call the shops again asking for madza rims and they had a tons in stock. Not sure if you tried this, but its just a thought. Good luck with your search.

My friend with an 09 Ford Ranger got 16x7 crown victoria rims, the black ones like used on P71 Interceptors, his are the pre 2001 style. Exact same bolt pattern hub size ect. They would probably work on a patriot. One interesting note is that my 16x6.5 stock 16" rims "fit" on his ranger but the center bore size with ever so slightly off on the small side and we couldn't get a rim on when we test fit it. And by close i'm talking about less than 1mm.

You are right on the mazda rims, some guy locally here was selling some 17" mazda 3 rims for 300 for the set, but I couldn't jusitfy buying them.
