Here the pic of new SUV by Fiat...:mad::mad:

It's sure not a Patriot, looks like a thousand other little vehicles. Can you even call it an SUV, no sport and no utility from what I can see. Why put something out there the same as everything else, when they could continue the Patriot line and have something distinctive?

Looks Like a Compass To Me

The new Fiat designed drawing looks very much like a Compass in my opinion. I could see a substituted seven slot grill being placed on the front and it would be an obvious transition from the Compass.

Perhaps this platform will also get a beefier, boxier, Patriot-like skin as well? Let us hope so.

I actually also liked the Photoshopped images of the itty-bitty Jeep Panda from a few months ago as well. If Fiat decided to offer all three of these vehicles, I think it could do very well.

At least... there is potential.

It's tough to tell scale on that photo. It could be a real small hatchback (the size of a Honda Fit) or it could be as large or larger than the Patriot.

If those are 14" wheels, then it's a Mini-SUV. If they're 17" wheels, then it's a small/mid size SUV.

Either way though, it sure does NOT look like a Jeep. I'd pass on it too.

Looks like that thing we get over here made by KIA---Just the same as any other non Jeep SUV I've seen-----Whats NEW about it????? Got It!! Its a Chevy Captiva ( Saturn something in USA) with FIAT badges on it.....Sorry , must try harder!

Looks kinda like a Kia Soul.

The overall shape (especially from the A pillar back) isn't too far off the boxiness of general Jeep styling. The front end just wouldn't work as a Jeep, but those are easy enough to rework, as are the wheel openings and exact shape of the rear end.

We'll see what ends up coming down the pike.

True. Looks like a Kia Soul had offspring with a nissan pathfinder

Well I can see why that picture is bad, because it's a concept sketch so that's the best it's EVER going to look. It'll probably end up looking like the Kia SOUL which means it would commit suicide if it ever saw itself in the mirror...

LMAO. I worked at KIA dealer before, We called them- "Killed In Action":pepper:

My 12 yr old grandson could do better than that. He goes to a Grammer School that is Engineering Orientated---They have just won ÂŁ25.000 grant to start building a 2 seater " Coyote" Aircraft. & some lucky pupils ate going to learn to fly in it. ( when they reach17)

Looks like the beginning of the end if that's what FIAT has for the future. It looks like too many others out there.

You sometimes feel like saying """ Is That All You Can Come Up With--Pathetic"""

I think it looks like a Kia Sportage.

But lets remmeber Fiat is not going to do away with the Jeep Brand and replace it with Fiat. Fiat is not going to rebadge Fiats as Jeeps.Just as Diamler didnt turn dodge into Mercedes or start branding mercedes models as Chryslers. Of course I think some of that German Engineering is responsible for the Chrysler 300 and Dodge Charger, but that was about the extent of it. It is all about who owns the name. I happen to like the way all the Jeep names match now and are somewhat modeled on a patriotic theme.. Commander, Liberty, PAtriot, Compass, the Grand Cherokee should be replaced with something called like the Jeep General...

Fiat did announce that Compas and Patriot would both be discontinued and replaced by an existing Fiat framed vehicle. This could be it or it could be something completly diferent. Only the designers at Fiat know what they are going to do at this point. I do agee it looks like every other crossover out there. The reason I bought the Patriot is it doesn't look like everyone elses vehicle.

so what will be built at the Caliber/Compass/Patriot factory in Belvedere Illinois? I have noticed on Dodge.com the option to build your own caliber does not exists. The model is blurred out..

Wow, in a few years, I'll be owning a real collectors car!

I've actually done this before, having also owned a 56 Chevy V8 Bel Air, 57 Triumph TR-3, , 60 Fiat Abarth Zagato, 61 Corvette, 62 Corvair Monza, 67 Mustang and 68 Cougar XR-7. I seem to have a touch for picking out cars that do this. At my age, though, I don't think I'll be outlasting my Patriot!:D

Looks like a '90s idea if I ever saw one. That is by far the most generic looking vehicle I have ever seen! As long as this thing is only an addition to the line and not replacing anything we know and love, they could probably sell several dozen in the US market. However, they should at least make it look like a Jeep: square off the front end and give it a Jeep grill as Pipe Tobacco suggested, and give it some storage space (startin' to look like a Patriot, isn't it?). If they added the storage space, that Dodge Hornet could have a future -- it at least looks like a Dodge. (Thanks jepster67)
