I looked at the pavement of our driveway as I was heading in a couple days ago and noticed liquid on the ground. I went over and brushed my finger over it, it wasn't oily. Gave it a sniff, nothing. Looked under the Jeep and noted water dripping down from the rear of the engine compartment near the passenger area. When I opened the hood, I could see water coming out of what looked like a pipe. The radiator tank was full, as was the windshield fluid tank.

I'm assuming this isn't a defect by some sort of design, but for what? If its rain diversion, it had been days since the last rain.

I had exactly the same thing happened to me last week. We had a very warm day ( Unusual for England) I was parked up after a run & had been using the A/C .I notices a small stream of water running under the Jeep. I checked it out & realised it was condensation from the A/C compressor. Warm day+A/C=Condensation/Water.

I check these boards for verification & found other had this happen . No problem!!

I hopeing this is your prob solved also.

I've recently experienced this same water leak.....although I know it definitely isn't from the A/C as I haven't been using it due to it being Autumn in the U.K!!

I have had a look under the vehicle and I can see that water is coming out of a small rubber tube, which I can only describe as coming from inbetween the rear of the dashboard and the engine compartment nearer to the passenger side. (Right hand drive.)

The water drips out of this tube and directly onto a bolt which appears to be on some part of the chassis that is visible by looking under the bonnet and down the back of the engine. (2.0 CRD)

Can anyone help before I have to book the old girl in!??

Cheers chaps! :Racing:

Motorolley, that rubber tube is the AC system drain like above. It will drain out condensation when the AC system is on and also allow any water that entered the top vents out as well (like when it rains). If you run the defrost, that automatically runs the AC compressor to supply dehumidified air to the windshield.

Thanks chaps......your responses have been welcomed and I'll look forward to asking more questions!!

If you need to know anything about bikes then I'll return the favour - otherwise this will probably turn into a one way relationship!! :notworthy:

That is what the dealer also told me today. My Pat is towed to the dealer today (after 5 days) because I lost my first, third and fifth gear.
Thanks for the info APT.

And as I don't have a sunroof , it wasn't the sunroof
