I had a toss up between the Patriot and Compass. Rescue Green or Cherry Red. In the end my wife won out on the red compass North all season 4x4 with freedom drive 2 behind the cvt. I am very happy with it as it has the autostick and it works well in the snow.
Will be putting mud flaps on and some wheel locks too, maybe a K&N.

It is pretty good on gas mileage compared to my Isuzu Rodeo.

I am glad to be on this well informed site and this is my first post.

You bought my twin:) Except for a north not limited, where abouts are you located, in Saskatoon SK, there was 2 FDII Compass' at the dealership I got mine from (had to order it) and one was red, other was white, both north editions.

Intro

I live in Calgary Canada.
My son wanted me to buy a Jeep wrangler but my wife didn't like it besides it wa just outside my budget.
I drove an Isuzu for 10 years until I recently drove it on black ice and hit a guardrail...totaled!
I have the model North Edition and a lot of options just short of the Limited.
I am an older guy who likes to wrench as I have a lot of tools and I like to go off road hunting in Saskatchewan.
I hope to do some improvements soon.
I changed the oil out at 750 kms and put in dino 5w20 and a Mopar filter. I am going to Mobile 1 at 4500 km.
I just put on some mudflaps and will get some convex mirrors to put on the side mirrors.

I will post some pictures soon.

Welcome to the forum. I think you will be happy with your Jeep. I have an 08 Patriot 4X4; CVT with 117,000 miles. Very few problems except for the suspension. Replaced stabilizer arm in the front and back but that shouldn't be an issue on the 2011 and newer Jeeps. It's been a good vehicle but it's time to trade. I tried to talk my wife into a 2012 Compass but she prefers the classic look of the Patriot. What kind of mileage are you getting with your Compass? Trying to convince her to get the Compass because it should catch less wind resistance & should get better mileage. I would appreciate any info on the mileage.
