How far are you from your car in your house? Maybe you are accidentally pushing unlock on your key fob?

Never heard of this before!

Probably the "unlock all the doors when the driver's door opens" feature is activated.
The manual tells you how to deactivate it. I think is by using the keyfob...

Yeah that surely does suck though I am told that if you put the key fob just under your chin it will help with the range??? I am too cool to actually try this though...let me know how that works out, k?? ;) HAHA

Make sure you are not locking the doors when the key is in the ignition and the door is open. Its a safety feature and wont allow it to lock, it will automatically unlock itself.

I literally have the same issue but I would lock my doors hang my key up on a wall hook and wake up and my car is unlocked. I was even robbed of my pillows and items in my car once because the door was “just” sitting unlocked and they just opened my doors on the security camera even though I hadn’t touched my car in two days and locked it. Is it possible for someone else to unlock the doors? Or is there an issue to be solved here? I haven’t found any answers and if I can’t I have to sell this I can’t afford to have it stolen because it unlocked itself

I went on a day trip in my Patriot. When I got back, and for a week afterword the doors would randomly lock itself, then keep trying to lock it again. It was maddening. I tried changing batteries in the remote. Then cleaned the terminals on the battery, checked fuses, etc. It kept doing it. It was like it was taunting me. I finally figured out that I had left a small travel bag in it with a spare key inside. I took the bag and key back in the house, problem solved.

Its nice that your Patriot won't let you lock your keys in it. Some years ago my MIL was visiting and as a favor I vacuumed her Saturn. I remember hearing the horn beep and wondered why. Apparently I'd hit the door locks and her keys and remote were in the car. When I was done I shut the doors and went back inside the house. Later when she went to leave she couldn't find her keys . . . and the car was securely locked where it sat in our garage. We had to have AAA come and unlock it. :(
