I have both a 2wd and 4wd manual transmission without a blown out case on either one. 130k on the 2wd one and I have to pull the vin on the 4wd one for mileage as I forget the mileage on it. Both shift fine with no issues before being pulled. It took me a year and a half to find the 4wd one and a year to find the 2wd one. I would always suggest you yourself going through it or having a transmission shop look at it before installing or paying someone to. These things are not the most fun to put in. On vwvortex I use speedracer211 and eBay Speedracer211vw I will ship and put it on a pallet provided you set up everything for shipping. I have pallets and can break them down, strap the transmission down shrink wrap it and give a total weight and dimensions. $2350 for the 2wd transmission and for the right price you could probably talk me out of my 4wd one. If the price is too high say something I won’t be offended.
