Hello,

I just bought a 2014 Jeep Patriot. It has the basic stereo in it with mp3 ect..

I want to replace it, but I am unsure what size receiver will fit. every time I look at a double din on Amazon it says does not fit.

Also, could someone post all the accessories I will need so I can do it in one sitting. Or a link with the info. I tried looking around.
Dash kit, harness, ect..

Thanks,

Go to Crutchfield.com , they will tell you everything that will fit and everything you need to make it work.

A double din will fit in the Patriot, I personally do not have one, but many members on here do

Just picked up my 2014 Jeep Patriot. The stupid dealer kept telling me the Uconnect had bluetooth. I told him it didn't. He tried for 15 minutes to sync his iPhone to my Uconnect 130RES and he finally admitted it wouldn't work. He put a $300 aftermarket bluetooth adapter in the package but after I picked up the car said I would use the AUX 1/8" adapter port to get my iPhone audio going. Now I have $300 cash to spend on a new HU.

I'm thinking about getting the Pioneer AVHX3500BHS 2DIN HU. Was wondering if anyone had any experience installing one of these? Best Buy wants $788.92 to install the sucker with all the cables and mounting kits. I think they are overselling me **** I don't need.

Just need to be able to plug the iPhone into a USB port for Applications and bluetooth for an Android phone.

Thoughts?

a few weeks ago I put in a Pioneer AVH-X3500BHS into my 2014 Patriot and I love it! It fits with the right aftermarket parts. The biggest road block I had was the metal frame around the stock head unit that is screwed into dash pieces. I saw some members cut this out but I was able to pull it out with some marks made into the inside of the dash. If I could do it again, I think I would have just cut the metal frame.

The metal frame is shorter than a double din however I recall seeing a post before with a double din head unit fitting right in.

Here are the parts I used to install the 3500BHS

Metra 95-6511 Chrysler/Jeep DDIN 2007 Dash Kit

PAC C2R-CHY4 Radio Replacement Interface for Chrysler

Metra 40-EU10 VW /BMW/Euro Car to Male Motorola Vehicle Antenna Adapter

Easy Provider CD-IU201S USB 2.0 Audio Video Adapter Cable for Pioneer iPod iPhone 3GS 4 4S

It took me an hour to complete which my skills are advance with this stuff sometimes.

Hope this helps!

Sorry for getting back to you so late. The Super Bowl, UFC, and the Coors Lights Outdoors Game kept me busy with little sleep.

Under the trim is the iPod cable I ran. You can see it pop back out on the left between the seat and the trim

Head unit installed

Ipod cable between the seat and the trim. I like having it there so I can put the phone connected in that cutout next to the hand brake.

GoDevils38, Do you have the Boston Acoustic system? I'm wondering if I need the same interface etc as you. Crutchfield says there are 2 different ones for patriot, with or without the BA. Crutchfield is out of the maestro for without BA and I'm wanting to get a different brand, metra or PAC.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
