it happens mostly when turning, but sometimes when going straight
it sounds like something is smacking into something else underneath
had a look and i saw no leaks, and nothing loose swinging around so im at a loss
i figured its maybe because i washed it and then the weather dropped like 30 degrees C so maybe theres ice breaking off somewhere
idk, im just paranoid because I love this jeep and I don't want anything to be wrong with it haha

i just realized how vague my description is of the noise lol, i would try to record it but it doesnt happen all the time
and theres no idiot lights on or anything different in the way it drives so maybe i am being paranoid?

Yeah sometimes. A lot of the roads are basically lumps of ice everywhere but i would say yes when i hit small bumps it makes that noise

Ok so ive got the exact same on mine atm and have taken mine to get looked at and they told me my lower ball joints need replacing so start by looking there leme know how you go

Never even thought to check that. Been to cold out to lay down and look but i may as well

It was the ball joints lol
And my rear shocks needed replacing but its under warranty so it didnt cost me a dime woo!

I had noise coming from underneath my 2014 Patriot 4x4 automatic. I thought it was wheel bearings, etc. , especially when I made turns on acceleration. The dealer could not find it by their test drives, but since under warranty I demanded they put it on the lift, start it and put it in drive gear and rev the engine. They discovered that the shield above the drive shaft had dropped down due to no nuts on the stud that keeps it up, and it was rubbing agains the universal joint. They also discovered other missing nuts on the side shield. It is now quiet. So check the shield above the drive shaft. Good luck
