hum not really, i'm just keeping it plain and simple. i'm asking
1)what intake do you have in your hood.
2)and which one performs better? accelaration low rpm or high rpm
i have had 2 intakes in my life. i had a plain no brand intake, which i didn't see the hp gain.. and i had a k&n cai and i actually felt the hp gain at high rpm.

Before I bought mine I spent hours researching what the specific manufacturers were claiming. I didn't want to be taken by someones uncalibrated butt-dyno. I found Ingen still hasn't released one that fits, but AEM and Mopar Performance (which is just a re-labled AEM) did not place any claims or guarantees that their products actually increased Horsepower or Torque. The only one that did provide any sort of claim was K&N you can see their dyno sheet here: http://www.knfilters.com/dynocharts/57-1552_dyno.pdf

I think it equated to about 7.50 per horse power after shipping.

The other think I like about it is its the only one that comes with a heat shield.

Here are some intakes that you might want to take a look at.

My version....basically the same

In summary:

1. Makes the Patriot louder, not sure of any performance increases (there is a dyno where i live but not awd)

2. Mine isn't exactly a cold air intake but I got a 2mpg increase in fuel economy

3. Only my personal opinion, if your a wee bit motivated you could build your own very easy and even fashion a heatshield if you wanted to.

i'll most likely get a k&n intake.but if i could get the aem for a cheaper price, i'll go with aem. i'm thinking about adding a performance exhaust too, but i'm not sure yet..the patriot lacks a lot of low rpm hp.i was googling around and i saw a good gibson exhaust.thanks for the pictures
