You soon would be buying a new battery...............sorry, I wont buy another one of those junk P.O.S.'s. I have a year old Optima (yellow top) that is junk and they have given me nothing but grief about a replacement. We have been fighting for 4 months now. Needless to say, my Bronco has a different brand in it now, so the point is mute if they give me one now anyway. Just my 2 cents.

Red Top is #25, yellow top D35 is probably the closest fit. Unless you've got some high amp draw the red should be fine

That's your opinion, I've got a Yellow that's 7 years old and still going strong that includes 3 years in an XJ plowing snow with the undersized stock alternator.

Thats not an opinion, it is an experience. The customer service level is horrible. I wont buy another one. If this guy buys one and has good luck, then he is good. If he has trouble with one like I did, he will be in the same boat as I am. I am glad yours was good. I am stating my experience, which was horrible. Mine was in a CJ-5 with a 100 amp alternator (in fact, the same set up that has been running a Duralast battery for 2 years). One awww sh*t makes up for about 10 atta boys.

I haven't had a problem with my red top in the Dakota. It has been there 5 years now running emergency light with no problems. It may sit idling on a scene for up to an hour sometimes a lot longer.

There are bad batches, maybe you got one. Never had to deal with their customer service, so I speak about that.

I have had a yellow top Optima since day one. My pat was new and the first thing I went to buy that day was the battery. It has been there for three years now and have had no problems. I have knocked it down to empty and has found the energy to rejuvinate itself enough to start me up again. This takes like 2 hours after I kill the battery. Dont ask me how this happens, but it does.

Optima vs cheapest old style non sealed battery.

I converted my whole fleet of cars over to Optima batteries. Oh what a huge expensive mistake!!!! Optimas hate sitting around. I had stellar luck (like 8 years) on any vehicle I was using regularly, but they lasted only about 18 months on vehicles that sit around a lot. I've found on classic cars driven very little, the old 6 cap cheap batteries actually last the longest.
