Well it had to happen sometime. I wrecked it. I was backing out of a parkinglot and turned my fender into a utility pole. I guess I was lucky I could've caught it on the bumper and ripped the whole front end off. I should beable to get by with a fender/marker and some paint. I dont know how well fill the gouge in the plastic of the bumper. Going for estimate Tuesday.

Now, Wade you wont feel as bad.

Sorry for your accident Sgtarky. Was the police inspecting it and figured out if it was your fault or of the other party? :)
I dread the day when something like that happens to my Patriot and it doesn`t even have to be that big. A stone chip on the windshield or grille, a scratch from tight parking lots (we`ve got plenty of those here) - it will all hurt the same
My wife scraped the right side of her Renault recently - from a tight entrance gate to the paking lot at her work. So I tried my best taking off the scratches with abrasive paste, waxing an polishing - it came out pretty good except for a very small dent. Few days later she came back from work with new and much worse scrapes and dents on the other side of the car

Anyway I think your front fender will be fairly easy fixed or replaced since it can be detached, it would be much worse at the rear end of the vehicle.
Good luck and let us know how it went.

Nobody ever asks about the Pole. JK. That sucks.

Those are the kinds of accidents that some percentage of people just live with.. have you noticed how many nice cars out there with a big yellow dings from the parking garage Pillars. And they just live with it. One guy I work with still washes and polishes his new car eventhough she's got a giant dent on the rear end he apparently has no intention of fixing

I know body repair is way expensive, but what's up with people who drive around in a new car that needs body work.

I could understand a work pickup truck. Hell I would fix any dings in my truck with a hammer and crowbar and then spray paint over them with a paint match.

But I feel bad for you anyway... I really feel that all light posts in parking lots should be within a concrete curbed ring island. This way, one might scuff the wall of a tire or scratch a wheel by rubbing against a concrete curb instead of crunching a fender, or, in my case, ripping a wheel and suspension out from under the fender. Painting the base of the pole yellow doesn't really prevent the accident from happening.

Again, I feel for ya... Not a fun thing to experience....

Geeeez, sorry about that. You DO have a nice lookin' blue babe there, though. Should be an easy fix. The Patriots out here are multiplying and a local company is using them as official road vehicles. Word's getting out!
