I want to remove my factory radio.. what is the easiest way to do so.. Is there anywhere that has detailed instructions or pictures? Thanks!
This. You can get the top of the center stack off just by prying up the center of the upper dash assembly; there's just enough clearance there. You don't have to remove the A pillars and only partially lift the upper dash assembly

Unless, I'm going senile, I remember in the write up, he had to remove the A-pillar plastic to get to the dash. You don't have to remove the A pillars and only partially lift the upper dash assembly

That's the "proper" way to do it, but it IS possible to get in there without removing the A pillars. The first time I pulled it apart, I only removed one A pillar. The second time I didn't remove either. If you plan to fully remove that full width panel at the front of the dash, yes, the A pillars need to come off. If you only have removal of that top piece above the center stack as your aim, you don't need to pull that full width panel entirely off; just prying up the center section gives enough clearance.Unless, I'm going senile, I remember in the write up, he had to remove the A-pillar plastic to get to the dash.

Sorry for the freak out but when the answer sits right in front of you and a debate still goes on... well ... I tend to freak out![]()
