I guess basically what i need to know is,how do i remove the rear strut top bolts? Does the rear interior quarter panel need to be removed? If so how do i remove the panel to access the top bolts? Thanks

You can sort of gain access to them if you remove the spare wheel through a gap but it honestly takes a few clips and the whole rear plastic boot covers come out, thus giving you ample space to use a ratchet and not trying forever with a small spanner :)

boot covers?? you mean the whole panel? where are the clips located on the panel? Where and how to remove it?Where to start the removal of the panel?

look for rectangular flaps under the spare cover, you can either bend em up, or break them off like I did. if you do them that way, get ready for some serious hand fatigue. the threads on the struts are super fine. as for removing the panel, just start from the rear. take the weather seal off (it's got a lot of goopy stuff in it, so watch out) and start popping it out of place. It's kind of a grip it and rip it thing. I do believe you have to unscrew the cargo D-clips right behind the seats too...

thanks. any more tips?

I know it looks dramatic having all that plastic out but it honestly takes minutes, you'll have to unscrew the silver hooks (I believe there is four, two at the boot door seal and one on either side of the wheel hump, peel back the weather strip around the door (just at the base) remove the spare wheel and gently pull outward on the panel with the rear seats folded down

I tried to remove my struts through that little access hole but it just frustrated me and I think would have taken longer than If I just removed the boot plastic

However way you do it, have fun & good luck! :)
