A lot of people have negative feedback on HID's, too bright, this and that, but I feel mine look great on my Blue Steel 2008. Opinions?

What'd it cost you to put them in? I have two lights on the roof basket right now, im adding two more, 2 or 4 on my custom bull bar and getting the mopar fog lights, can always use a little more lighting yet.

The kit is a high beam/ low beam kit that cost me $240.00 from Drivenmotoring.com. The brand is Xenonworx. I paid 65$ for the install (Hour charge) by a place here in daytona.

DEF not plug-n-play. I got them professionally installed about hearing horror stories, the Pat's computer is really smart now, and see's if the right bulbs are in or not. You need to trick it into thinks the HID's are working properly, because your halogens use 55 watts, and these HID's use 35 watts, more efficient.

Anyway, I knew you guys wanted to see how & where they mounted the ballasts and harness, so check these:

wow you saved 25wattS wow, you just saved .01mpg to boot!
I think the stock headlights work fine, maybe you can spend your dads money on argon filled tires i hear they may your car TIGHT!!! lol
Ask your daddy to buy you some twenty fo's

If the Sgt knew how to do anything besides talk down to people (like math), he would realize that those 25watts are 45%(!) saved off of the original burn.
In headlight numbers and drain on battery, thats huge.

Thanks for that, it means a lot.

I love how everyone's first reaction is Daddy pays for my Jeep & it's mods. I pay for my Pat, the gas that goes in it, the insurance that covers it, and the modications that take place! wowwww, and I dont sell drugs, how does he do it you might ask? Called a job, there buddy.

soundcrafters.

I really do not get it, how did somebody figured out that daddy is paying for such modifications, is it because he lives in Daytona Beach????
What I can say is that I envy the fact that his Pat looks better than mine, but I will keep saving to make mine look better (If wife allows).
Thank you for posting pictures of such mod. it gives us the opportunity to know and see how our Pats will look with such items.

Daytona isn't anything special, the cost of living is the same even though we have the best race track and the only beach that you can drive on. Thanks for you're props, and your pat will look great in time, I'm slowly working on more mods like everyone else, even if i'm 17.

lostjeep did you had or have any problems with your xenon kit. I mean do the lamps turn on or one of them didn't light? Did they switched off suddenly when you had them turned on? Did you had or have any other problem with them? I want to install the same kit with you and that's why I'm asking you

You should ALWAYS use a wire harness. If you dont, you run the risk of burning out your stock headlight harness. This could cost you much more money then your HID kit. Please use caution.

Not that LostJeep cares, but the following should be stated to inform others that research since it has been brought back to the top of the list.

Facts: How a vehicle looks with whatever color lights is subjective. The color temperature has nothing to do with the quantity of light output (measured in lumens). The performance of different color spectrum lights varies by driving conditions. Higher color temperature does not mean better performance in any driving environment. Most bulbs on the market have lower light output and/or bulb life (measured in on time hours) than the standard halogen H13 bulb in our MKs.

Opinion: Anyone interested in replacing any headlight or headlamp in their vehicles with something other than the standard halogen replacement bulb should research the key aspects of replacements including bulb life and light output in order to judge if the higher cost and higher color temp are a good value to him.

Good reference.

I did the same for 55

Hey my cousin is a distributor of HIDS and i eneded up getting a pair shipped from munich here and i installed them on my own theyre all plug and play theres no such thing as need some kind of special wiring. unless your getting hidden ballasts ill post the pics of my pat pretty soon. You probly thought that the install was pro because they have to put a relay on to prevent flicker. I also did that on my own for 5 dollars
