Joined up here yesterday, thought i would say hello..I have been reading a little about the new patriot lately and considering to buy one. Purchased a Dodge Avenger and am getting a little fed up with all the blind spots, so i'm off to the dealer to crunch some numbers.:smiley_thumbs_up:It is a shame ,because i love the car done a bit of stuff to it, like lowering ,twin system, tint, wheels. etc.etc. The more i look at the patriot i wish they were around when i bought the Avenger. But dealer never had any. anyway heres a pic, and hope it will be a different pic soon.

:Racing:patriots also have blinds spots as well (naturally). But I see what your'e talking about with those pillars and the angle of your rear slopes. BTW, welcome aboard!

Welcome to the Forum. That's a nice looking Avenger. Tough decision you'll have. I plan to recline or fold forward the rear seat in my Patriot to improve visibility through the rear window. I rarely have anyone in the back seat.

Be sure to take at least a couple of test drives in a Patriot. I would suggest one each with a CVT model and one with a Manual five speed, unless you already know you want one or the other for sure.

Done deal

After i posted my intro message, went down to the dealers and no patriots to be found. Went back today and there it was a steel blue metalic cvt 2.4 lmt.
with sunroof and six speaker mp3 option.:banana:after a couple of hours of haggling with dealer, walked out with a pretty good deal, i got more than i was hoping for with the avenger:smiley_thumbs_up:picking up car tomorrow. These cars are so comfy and compact. only thing i'm going to miss is my dvd player.
Hope to learn lots around here now..........
