for christ sake, how much extra would it have cost to have stitched in a couple of map pockets to the back of the seats! Sorry for the bad mood, a rear passenger has just skidded on one of maps that slid out from under the seat and ripped it

Dont forget its built Down to a Price , not Up to a quality......

One of my biggest complaints--and I don't have very many...has ANYONE found some after-market "screw on" map pockets? I admit I haven't research it--but there's gotta be some somewhere!

I still use maps, but younger folks think I'm strange to not just use GPS.

You can get things that hang off the head rest supports that have many pockets, and some seat covers have pockets in the back too.

I'd like a holster behind the passenger seat.

from the tittle Grrrrr! I was expecting to read something like

"Engine seized up at 20k" or "transmission fell out on the trail"

Who uses maps these days, when phones are GPS units? that was a joke, I still have paper maps I use but I put under the drivers seat in a trifold.

You know, I use the GPS unit, but I still carry and use a pile of DeLorme gazetteers too. I like the contour lines and detail on the paper/book maps. I just wedge mine between the console and the set.

Why couldn't they have added a switch to the center dome light? the only way to turn interior lights on in the back is to turn all the lights on. why? oh why? oh ya it was cheap but wwwwhhhhyyyy?

Not something that uses screws, but even better: https://www.supplycaptain.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&product_ID=591 :)

Okay, that thing doesn't like to stay flat when tied to a Patriots seat (I've got a piece of scrap aluminium plate somewhere that I've been meaning to cut into a support to fix that), but come on! They even use a Jeep in their product pictures. :) And you don't have to make any holes in the seat, just tie it down with the provided paracord bits.

For passenger's seat it just wouldn't do as the seat folds down (to front) and becomes a table.
For driver's seat... I would guess the designers just wanted it to look the same as passengers seat (and it's also cheaper this way and maybe no one thought of it and maybe... etc.)

Queen Seat

urr, good point, I missed that, but I wonder how many people have used it as a table,I never have and never will cos thats where my wife sits
Can't remember, but thought I saw it posted where someone puts the front seat down and the Wifey sits in the back with her feet up on the seat, sort of like a Queen's seat!
