Fuel filter change uk

Hi all I'm new to the forum but I need some advice please I have a 2.0crd patriot I have just changed the fuel filter due to misfire. After a little run the miss fires gone but iv a big fuel leak going on what have I done wrong? Could I have piped it wrong?

I'm looking at the manual and forgetting the fuel return pipes, it says the left hand pipe is to the injector pump and the right hand one is from the fuel tank.

I will be happy to double check on mine tomorrow when it's light if you get stuck.

BTW, when I say left and right, this is looking at the filter from the front i.e. facing the rear.

hey,are you sure that's the crd filter in the picture?
mine has only two pipes.

Thanks for that Dane its all sorted now.mine is slightly different to that 2pipes then plastic cap with 2pipes that's where the problem was the circlip that hold the cap down firmly wasn't seated right. But damn hesitations back even tho it does feel better for the new filter.

Glad you fixed the leak. The plastic insert with the two pipes is a bit tricky to seat I remember, whereas the other two pipe just connect in the normal way.

As far as the hesitation goes, I take it you haven't got any codes?

You might be lucky and it's just bad fuel.
