If I get stuck in a snow bank or a ditch, what do I hook my strap to on my FDI for my neighbor to pull me out with his tractor?

Is it difficult for me to add the tow points front and rear.

My powerwagon and my Rubi already had tow points...

If I can solve this tow point question. I think that's all I need that the FDII offers that I really need...

Thanks in advance

I'm still contemplating this addition myself. I haven't needed to use a tow hook on any of my past 4x4's, but then they had them so if I did need it, at least they were there and I'd much rather be prepared then without. I wouldn't do two in the front however. I think just one on the drivers side would be sufficient and one in the back. For the back, I think the tow hitch would be more universally functional then just a hook. This way the cost is reduced, the labor to install the (front) hook is reduced and you get a two for one benefit in the rear.

For the rear install a hitch receiver.

Here's a thread with how-to's and pictures of an install done without removing the front bumper, plus my own photos/summary of my additional concersations with Will H. I cut my own bumper holes, but ran out of time on this project, ultimately paying a body shop to finish the job (they removed and replaced the bumper fascia to install the hooks, and did not have to remove the skid plate).

Note that dimension and location measurements for front and rear tow hooks were provided by Polished Heckler (see the Knowledfe Base section for this), and I can vouch personally for their accuracy.

Have Fun, and post photos!
