I took my Pat FDII on a long trip this week, which doesn't happen that often. I usually get 21-22 mpg running 70 mph. I ran it at mostly 80 mph this time and got 24 mpg. Go figure. I guess I need to run it at 90 and see what it does.
Well, I test drove two Patriots, one bare bones, FDI with only leather as option, the other FDII loaded with almost everything minus leather and navigation. I am inclined to get the FDII because it also looks much nicer.Rpiereck,
If you only need the capability of the Forester, then get the std 4x4 Patriot. You'll get the economy you're looking for.
Yes, but the Forester is so much better on paved roads. The FDII is WAY more competent than the Forester offroad.
That's refreshing. What was the temperature when you did this?On the way there, I averaged 27.2mpg per the EVIC.
On the way back, I averaged 24.3mpg.
Was wind blowing at either time and in what direction? The temp was typical Arizona November evening.
75°F on the way there at mid-afternoon.
60°F at 9:00 at night on the way back.
