I recently bought a dash camera for my Patriot. It came with a 12V USB power supply, but I didn't want to lose my 12V socket or anything.

I took a gamble and bought this on Amazon: Amazon.com

It connects between the 12V socket and the factory wiring, giving you a tap without cutting into anything. It says Wrangler but the Patriot has the same plug. Now my dashcam power supply and wiring are totally hidden.

where is this plug located in the Patriot

That looks like it plugs in between the power outlet/cig lighter and it's wiring connector.
