Did you remove the grille to dip it?

 

Mine is dipped. It looks almost the same just no shine to it.

 

I've got a silver 08 Patriot... thinking of doing a neon green or sky blue grille.

 

Green and silver compliment one another well imo. @Tjn thay sucks man, would have neen perfect with those black wheels. On the positive you still have one of the best patriots ever!

 

Lucky you guys with newer models where your grill isn't part of the entire bumper. I tried to dip mine once and it was a pain.

 

Corvidae that looks great with the red, when I see stuff like this I wish I had gotten a colour and not black lol.

 

how does it hold up in car washes?

I wanted to plasti dip the grill but was worried it wouldn't last through the auto car wash I go to weekly. Have yours lasted?

This looks really nice with the push bar, I have a silver Jeep too and thought about dipping, I wasn't sure how it would look with the silver.

Paint in a can will work. I'd recommend high temperature enamel.

How many cans did it take you guys to dip your grills? I want to dip mine but I wanna make sure I have enough before I begin so I don't have to run to the store with wet plasti dip and newspaper all over the front of my riot

 

I'm planning on using two cans bottles of tan cammo dip on my grill. I see there's a set of torx screws and two bolts on either end of the frame under the hood. I was thinking of putting some cardboard in between the radiator and grill by removing those bolts and sliding it in. Any tips or suggestions?

 

I did it a couple weeks ago. I removed the bolts and screws on too and put paper over the radiator and headlights as taped up and papered around the grill itself. Left about 2" of te bumper uncovered to get the bottom of the grill sprayed. When done it just peels right off the bumper(if applied correctly from what I understand).
