Hello friends, my 2009 2WD Patriot sport auto has been having trouble shifting into D. I would have to keep shifting into Park and then Drive a few times for it to engage.
Well, yesterday I was driving and I had just gotten onto the freeway, when I started losing speed and giving it gas just got high RPMs. Luckily I managed to pull over safely, but it would not shift into drive again. It will go in Reverse. I had to call AAA and had it towed to my usual mechanic. I guess they will not check it until monday at least.
I was wondering if anyone might know what is wrong, whether it is the whole transmission, or just the shifter or something else?
