Jeep no longer uses CVTs in their new vehicles. I think only Subaru still uses CVTs. If they ever reappear it will probably be called something else because the CVT reputation was so damaged by the inadequate maintenance schedule.

 

Thats what one jeep owner said to me was the manual spcified the wrong fluid change interval as 120,000 miles when he had changed his fluid every 40,000 and hasn't had any problems.

thanks for reply ignatz I believe they dropped the CVT transmission in 2017 but I wasn't sure

Exactly. My 2008 Patriot CVT didn't make it to 120,000 miles. My replacement got its juices changed (and both filters) every 50,000 miles, and made it to 270,000 miles.
