Couple pics.... new lift and Rock sliders.

Had a number of guys emailing me direct to post some pictures of the lift. We actually won't post pictures of the lift itself. We learned our lesson with our Jeep Liberty lifts on that one. Within weeks of posting pictures of the lift on our website a couple shops had IDENTICAL suspensions to ours that they were selling. Learned our lesson and now we mainly only show vehicle shots.

So, the lift is done and on. Needs to have a computerized alignment which will be happening tomorrow morning.

The tires in our pictures are just some old ones I had laying around and so look a little ghetto. Certainly not super-bling, we're still in the trial stages here.... They are 1.5" over the stock tire size (at 28.9"). I believe you could go 2 sizes larger and still fit. Anything more is going to require fender trimming.

The Rock sliders look pretty cool too (we think). They are our Superslider kit. We will have a couple to chose from.

Looks like you guys do good work. Are your sliders tig, mig, or arc welded? Looks pretty clean from the pics you provided.

Most of our steel components are MIG welded unless we have a specific need to use the TIG... and the Rockrail kits are all MIG. Helps keeps the prices in check. They all still come with a lifetime warranty though.

MIG or TIG, we're pretty confident our Rockrails can't be damaged. We've had our lifetime guarantee since 1996 and I believe only one piece has ever come back.... and he was a competition Rockcrawler we sponsored. "Damage" was his middle name :)

Question about the wheels and tires...

Are those 15-inch Jeep wheels? And what is the tire size on those, 235s?

I have a set with winter tires on: was wondering if they fit over the disc brakes and if they had the right bolt pattern and backspacing...? (I haven't received my Patriot yet but soon).

Well Darby, I didn't have 225's so here's some pics from when I was playing in my garage with 245's on moabs. They actually don't hit anything until you turn the wheel. Can't wait for my lift kit!

You should jack that up 2" with those wheels on it and see how it fits...four jackstands would be the best...would give you a pretty good idea about the fit:smiley_thumbs_up:

They were 15" wheels, but the only reason they fit is because we used wheel spacers. Otherwise, 15's won't clear the brake assemblies. This is the case with all Jeeps nowadays.

No pricing yet. We need to get the alignment done and make sure all the bugs are worked out on the system for a couple weeks before anything goes public. In a nutshell, the lift comprised of strut spacers front and rear, adjustable upper rear control arms, F/R camber bolts, Front lower control arm lowering system with built-in skid protection.

Installation of the lift would be quite simple. I would think a shop (or individual) could do it in less than 2 hours start to finish. Should be easy for do it yourselfers. No special tools, no cutting or welding. All bolton parts. The alignment will be another issue though.

Making sure it can be properly aligned is step2 in the product development though. Still a few weeks away from getting my thumbs up for public release.

The Rockrails are easy though.... hope to have them on our website shortly.

wow, you do realize that jeep should probably be giving you a free patriot to work on, because you are probably the reason alot of people will buy one now that a lift is close to being offered. SERIOUSLY, think of this situation... small affordable 4x4 you can actually take offroad, not hardcore offroad, but with a mild lift...that extra clearence, and a more aggresive, (but still close to stock), tire would easily help someone get to a more remote fishing hole, hunting camp, or camping spot. A person could go have fun on the weekends, still get around 20-ish mph, have room for the kids, and still fit the vehicle in the garage. they could own an affordable, and lifted, small suv. really makes you think about what jeep was thinking with this vehicle .....GREAT JOB, and good luck with working on the alignment geometry, hope it works out smooth and quick. please post some more details and/or pics if you can.

Looks great... When does the kit go out for sale? Or is it already up on the website?

He meant now with jack stands while he has it in the garage.
Then snap some pics so we can all see what the lift+tires will look like together before he has it done.

Hey... lift sounds great!!! Thats exactly what I was thinking!! ..... I was wondering what it would look like without the lift but instead bigger tires!!!.... Im not sure Im ready to commit to a lift but I would expect to get the same kind of outcome with larger tires. Does any one happen to know what the biggest size is i could throw on without having to trim, change, lift or add anything??? My Pat has 17"ers right now... dealer upgrade

What about the bigger tires, do you find it under powered for them?
