Cooling fans not running

After changing spark plugs, and ignition coils, awhile back I replaced the radiator hose cause it was causing a leak and coolant was always low. Well now it over heated on my way home so I turned on the Heater and inside fan to keep the temp down. I made it home. So would a faulty Tempe gage stop the fans from turning on at all , or does it sound like it's the fans itself. Or relay. Please help

With the right scan tool, you can manually turn the fans on and off, testing both the relays and fans. Most repair shops should have one, and there are programs and apps that work with an adapter on the OBDII port that do also. I use JScan, and recently tested fans and relays when I was cleaning up corrosion in the relay box in the driver side fender.
