Couple things since the thread creation:

Put some ventshades on. I like everything about them except for the fact the two front door shades have a big white "AVS" logo on them. I would have preferred no logo or at least a transparent logo like on the two back shades. (I used to have these things on an old 1990 GMC S-15 Jimmy I had, and I'm pretty sure they didn't have any white logo on them.)

Rather than buying dedicated winter tires and rims, I instead went with Cooper Destination AT3's based off everyone's glowing reviews on these boards. Ultimately I didn't have the room for another set of wheels in my garage with the wife's seasonal set and the original rims from my Toyota. So I expect great things from these tires thanks to you guys!!!! ;)

Soon these will get installed :smiley_thumbs_up:

Ive actually considered that also. I do feel those blacked-out emblems look a bit nicer than the chrome.

I ran the cooper AT3 in the snow for two years on my Wrangler. Previous to that I had a dedicated set of snow tires. I don't drive like a maniac in the snow, but I do want to get where I'm going and NOT take forever. I couldn't tell the difference between the two tire styles in the snow. The coopers were AMAZING in all weather conditions. I think you'll really dig'em. That'll be what I put on my Riot once the current tires are shot.
Awesome to hear. I drive the same as you in snow and I'm looking for the same result. I just want to make sure Ill get to work on time during the winter months here, nothing special, haha. When I leave the house, the roads typically are not very clean if it snows... the plows are few and far between that early in the morning here.

There was a lot of indecisiveness about if I should go for it or not. I poured over these boards and looked at other people's reviews on the tire sites, youtube, and other car forums. Ultimately, it seemed nearly everyone was pretty satisfied with them, and it was enough to get me to finally pull the trigger.

How far does your hitch hang below the bumper? Could you possibly post a photo straight on at the hitch? I haven't decided what I want to do yet with my hitch, but I was thinking maybe I might need to cut into the bumper to keep it up out of the way?
I will take one tomorrow and post it.

The wife got me the Rugged Ridge cargo mat for Christmas. Now I have the full set. :pepper:

My brother got me a set of 4 door speakers, but that install will have to wait till the weather is less wintery. :p

Well now that its warmer out, might as well get around to using up some of the "parts stockpile" in my garage and begin to "upgrade" the Jeep again.

Lets start with the easy stuff... I gotta work back up into the modification mindset after being in hibernation from it for so long. :p

New noise-makers, a noticeable improvement over stock. A full set of Rockford Fosgate Prime 6x9's

An AntennaX 13" antenna.

Not so sure how I feel about this one yet. It looks odd at the base because it starts skinny at the top, gradually gets wider as it goes down, then goes back to skinny.

I also have lost some signal reception. I knew this was a potential side effect, but I was hoping for the best. Its not bad, per se, but a couple of my favorite stations have a hint of static, which is hard to ignore especially now that I have new speakers. Maybe I am just disappointed since the S2000 antenna I put on my Celica had zero signal loss, and is smaller than this one (albeit that one is an OEM part.) We'll see if I keep it or try out something else.

As far as the "Stage 2" RRO items:
You can use the interior winch mount without the exterior bumper bar.
You cannot use the exterior bumper bar without the interior winch mount.

If you dont use the exterior bumper bar, much of the trimming points on the lower fascia are exposed. So you will have to make sure you cut with great care.

For anyone who is curious why the Stage 2 needs the winch mount, but the Stage 1 does not, check this picture out:

"Luckily" RRO sent me the wrong bumper bar at first. So when they sent me the new one, I had to ship the old one back in the same packaging. It was a good opportunity to snap this comparison picture.

Probably, but you may want to get in touch with RRO just to make sure. Send an email here: gwbuild at rocky-road dot com
Personally I dont think it would be an issue, but they can answer anything on the topic better than I could.

Very nice looking overall Breadtruck gives me thoughts for mine now....
Thanks :)
