Does anyone know if a broken/loose cv axle cause a transmission to not shift? I had both front cv axles replaced on my 2008 Jeep Patriot and exactly 4-5 days later I turned a corner and a loud pop sound came from the front and my Jeep started clunking and shaking violently like when I mean shaking I mean like hood, engine wheels everything just shakes and it shake the car forward even with the your foot to the floor on the break pedal. This pop caused my transmission to no longer shift out of first gear. The weird part is even in neutral rolling down my driveway it shakes and clunks and if I pull a tight u turn the front clunks and then shakes violently after I straighten up but if I floor it, it like reposition itself and stops shaking until I do another sharp turn/ U turn. But if I floor it too hard like on a slope the Jeep will cut its power and go into like a limp mode until I restart the car and it goes back to normal. I lifted it up on Jack stands and put it into drive and the front wheels do half turn and then stop then half a turn and stop and so on. I’m sure the problem is the cv axle but can someone confirm it and lmk if it’s also the cause of the bad shifting?
