I like I like!

Only thing is, they made a "back country" patriot with 18's....

They should have gone the opposite way, and put on 16's or 15's with bigger tires. Thats true back country fashion!

I really dig how they make it look longer like the article states. I'd defintely do it.

Hmmm.... my B-pillars are already black :)

Not for nothing, but...yippy. If these clowns (read: paid engineers and designers) quit screwing around with colors and concepts that will never make it past an auto show floor, they might actually make improvements to the current vehicle.

This is no different than the SEMA Patriot that we saw a few years back. What came out of it? A new color. Freaking hooray!

When they come out with a "Renegade" or "Rubicon" version, then it will be something...something they intend to make. If "Back Country" is to Patriot what "Rubicon" is to Wrangler, then this is a sad day. Otherwise, it is a wasted day because it won't see the light of day as far as consumers are concerned.

It got us talking about it. That's what concept vehicles are - hype to drive consumerism. (although I agree it's not much of a concept vehicle). It's more like an ad for Mopar.

But, they succeeded, cuz I sure do want a roof basket, even though I think it's useless in our wet climate.

"Meet Jeep’s Patriot Back Country Concept. It’s green and has wetsuit padded seats. We’re confused too.

...

Why a vehicle with such limited off-road ability would need a jungle friendly paintjob, rooftop cargo capacity and extra interior moisture proofing is a mystery."

ahhahahahahahaha...Well, at least we can say that the country giving this review does not have access to a FDII version of the vehicle, but it is still damn funny when someone in the press really hits the nail on the head.

Yeah, one could make a Back Country Edition by re-painting, and buying new wheels and a bunch of accesories. Nothing that special, I think, although I like how it looks.

that looks great. I love the exterior chrome plating, and the moulded door handles. The more i see pictures of the 09 model, the more i like it. But i love my 08 model much better!!

still needs more lift and scrape bars on the side.

I worked at the jeep dealership back in 03 when they had all the "Freedom" editions. I really liked those vehicles. The Grand had the Rock rails on the side and the cool color options. And the Freedom Liberty was the next best thing to the Rengade for like 6,000 less. Id really like to see a Freedom Patriot with some rails and offroad lights. Something like that. As far as the Back country goes, I like the color. Im always a fan of weird colors. Thats probably why my favorite Wrangler is the "Rescue Green" and I drive a Surf Blue Riot. I still to this day have not seen another Surf Blue Riot anywhere around here. Plenty of Calibers and a Few PT's even but no Patriots.
