Hi all
The last couple of nights, shortly after leaving my Patriot on the drive, the alarm has sounded a few times. Also did it at work today, within a couple of minutes of locking it.
I have checked the obvious - nothing trapped in door, all windows closed etc. and nothing. Before it "drives" my neighbours and work colleagues mad, I need to get this sorted!
Someone mentioned that if the battery was old it could cause a slight drop in voltage that may cause the alarm to sound. Although this is immediately after a drive so you think it would be at its best, unless it is to do with locking it and the alarm being set?
I have also noticed that the headlights dim VERY slightly on occasion but wasn't sure if this was "just" a Patriot thing or if that's also an issue. I know, alternator? I just hope not as that's quite a major expense.
Could the battery condition cause the lights to dim slightly and the alarm issue?
Thanks.
