Hopefully im posting this in the right area. I'm still trying to decide if I'm going to keep the pat long term, but if I do, I really really need cruise control. Unfortunately the dealership advertised it had it, and it didnt. Sweet right. So wondering if anybody has installed or seen one installed on a pat. I know a lot of aftermarket ones are dangerous and kind of sketchy so just seeking some insight.

I bought an OEM kit off ebay and installed mine in a couple hours in my garage. It is not hard to do and did not need a computer flash from the dealer when I was done. The instructions were pretty easy to follow. The only caution I want to point out is when you remove the airbag roll down your window and do it from outside the car. The chances of firing it are very slim to none when you follow the directions but I like to err on the side of caution.

I bought a kit like this http://www.ebay.com/itm/07-08-09-10-JEEP-PATRIOT-SPEED-CONTROL-CRUISE-MOPAR-OEM-/350338502596?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Make%3AJeep|Model%3APatriot&hash=item5191cd4fc4&vxp=mtr

You can do the research and source the individual parts and if you are confident in your plastic cutting skills you can just cut the hole out of the existing plastic collum piece. I am too lazy for that so I bought the kit that came with it. Shop around there are dealers that put the kits together with just the one collar in the color you need for less money. The kit I linked is the mopar kit that comes with both.

Best thing is it is factory so no worrying about if it is a good kit or not. It works the way it is meant to.
