AC condenser replacement

Well, I went and did it! Something happened to my 2010 North Edition to where I had cool air from the ac before I went on holidays last week, but on the way home no way would it work. Now it's at my local dealer and they say that a rock went thru and put a hole in the condenser and all the refrigerant leaked out. And as far as what they told me, everything else is fine. And being as it wasn't a manufacturer's defect, it's not covered under warranty, so the cost to repair is out of my own pocket! Damn!

My only recourse is to purchase a new condenser from where I work and replace it myself, then get a shop I know to recharge the system. That's the easy part. The hard part is how hard is it to replace the condenser? Anyone here done that before on these models?

I am thoroughly enjoying this vehicle since I got it, and it gets better fuel economy than the 2006 HHR I traded for it! If someone could help me out, that would be greatly appreciated!!!

What? No one on here has any idea how to replace the condenser? Is there a repair manual available somewhere so I could replace it? The only problem I see is the trans cooler lines come in from the drivers side up at the top and I don't know how to take them off. Otherwise it's coming out by taking the bumper cover/ grille off then lifting up.

Anything else I should be looking at? There isn't any refrigerant in the system anymore so i don't have to get it evacuated.

+1 on the drier, also make hopefully the compressor has not been damaged, but they are usually serviceable.
