Hey Everyone.

Drove through a lot of trails today. Even a little mud bogging. The trails were tough in some parts, jeep had no problem! However, when it came to a big field, I got stuck. I stopped in the middle of a bunch of water and mud, my crappy firestones (215/60/17) just had no traction and I needed a tow. If i had better tires I don't think I would have got stuck.

My jeeps a FD1 and it worked very well in some tough conditions today. Next step is new, better tires with better tread!

Thanks, enjoy the pics!

Excellent photos of the new inferno red/mud two tone paint job! It also looks good in jeep green too. Love the chunks on the hood and roof!:smiley_thumbs_up:

Would love to do that, but I need to firstly find a place, and would prefer to get tow hooks (or at least find an easy tow point) in case I would get stuck as well. Mine is the normal CVT 4x4 with the tire and wheel package. I am interested to see how it would handle something like that. The most I have done is some old rutted dirt roads and dirt mounds to get the feel of the 4x4 in action.

Fantastic photos Maverick!

I'm not a creek bed, trail or mud bog rider, but your scrapbook makes a very compelling case to give it a try! Besides everyone looks like they're having lots of fun. Each snapshot is absolutely delightful, but I especially enjoyed the water fording, all mudded up and the "I'm one happy dog" pics. Where in Canada are you located? Wish we could get the 'North Edition' here in the Lower 48.

The Chevy pickup 'getting down to business' photo would work in a Chevrolet 'Like A Rock' ad, too.

Many thanks for sharing. BTW Maverick, did you used to fly an F-14 TomCat in another life?

Nope, just a FD1, the extra money and the poorer gas mileage didn't excite me too much. I'm going to upgrade my tires to add another inch of ride height (and grip) and install skid plates. So far my FD1 has done a great job. I could get in a long conversation/argument about FD1 vs FD2 if anyone wants to chat :)

What kind of mileage did you get in the mud hole?:D (just kidding)

Great photos. Really shows what our Jeeps can do. Thanks for posting them up. That mud looks good on the red car.
