When I turn the key, it just clicks. If I hold it, it has been starting. I get clicking, then finally the starter will start to crank then it starts. It has been doing this for about week and a half. I assumed it was starter or battery. I had battery checked and it was good. I see posts on the internet saying it isn't the starter. Maybe a ground wire somewhere? I say this because my radio goes back to 12:00 when I have to really hold key to start position for an extended amount of time. I'm not very good at describing the issue. Maybe someone will recognize the issue. It has 50K miles. It just started out of the blue. Today, It wouldn't start at all, i was getting 3 click sequences several times before starting, but today it just gave single clicks. It sounds like the clicking is coming from starter. 2 years old and I had hoped I wouldn't have issues like this.

Sounds like the battery to me, the clock rolling back to 12 is a clear indication of low voltage. Even with a bad starter a good battery wouldn't drain enough to do that. If your battery wasn't load tested it's possible to test good but still be bad.

Pull out your wallet. Battery draining and click could mean TIPM shorted out the fuel pump relay or in my case it was the TIPM (Totally Integrated Power Module) that shorted out the starter and PCM (Power Control Module/computer). TIPM repair was partly covered by FCA ($500 so far for labor & diagnostic and the PCM is 100% warranty but those parts are backordered at least 3 weeks if not more. First thing you want to do is contact MOPAR and let them know theprobem you are having and see what they can for you. You will most likely have to take it to an authorized repair shop. So sorry you are having so much trouble. They really are great vehicles (barring the electronic problems- which I am told are very rare.)
