So I can turn the traction control completely off (hold it for 10 seconds) and then pull the 4x4 lever and the regulator 4x4 light comes on and when I go to pull out the 4x4! Light comes on. Any ideas on what this could be?

Depends on the code reader itself. I would suggest getting a bluetooth ELM327 code reader, such as :

and then get yourself the Torque app or, even better, OBD JScan or AlphaOBD.
This is the codes I am reading. Does anyone have any ideas

Ok so I have ran all new wires to differential and now the 4WD! Light is gone and the regulator 4WD light is on like normal but I don’t think it is locking in still. Do I have to reset the codes on the 4WD or should it still work without resetting the codes?

It’s making the ticking noise when the traction control light is flashing. But the back wheels don’t attempt to do anything I reset all the codes and nothing is coming back up since the overheating one

I’m not getting any codes now. I reset all of them and they aren’t coming back. On the live view it show the differential is locked in 4x4 but I still can’t get the back tires to do anything

No, not if the ECC is bad.

If AWD module is working like it's supposed to, and providing the ECC with proper power, then hard wiring it won't make any difference if the ECC (ECC is the front part of the rear differential) is the problem.

If you haven't already, you can try to verify the output at the ECC connector.
What should my output be on the ECC connector?
