2014 2.0 AT CVT Transmission Replacement

I would advise against a junkyard transmission. Many CVTs did not get the needed maintenance and have failed prematurely. A blown tranny may be why the vehicle is in the junkyard in the first place. I'd hate to see you go to all that trouble and expense only to be back where you started. You're better off with a factory rebuilt transmission. If you don't have the right transmission, you may have compatibility problems with the electronics. Cars aren't just mechanical anymore.
 
True, but it definitely just had a recent tune-up, new alternator. Did a transmission fluid flush around 100,000.. it's around 150 now. But I'm definitely going to take it to the transmission stop so they can diagnose it to see what exactly is going on. It's not drivable. car turns on and everything but doesn't go into any gear.
I sold my 2008 Patriot to a friend. He had that problem and it turned out to be a broken transmission mount.
