2008 Patriot Rear Turn Signal Headache

I need help with the rear turn signals on my Patriot. When I use my turn signals I get a ding from the dashboard and a message the the left rear or right rear turn signal is not working and after a few flashes, the signals start a fast flash. The signals are working, front and rear. If I turn on the hazard lights, they all flash normally. What would cause this? Is there a flasher module or relay somewhere?

Sounds like you have LED's. The same thing happened to me when I tried to use LED's for stop, tail lights. I just put the old bulbs back and everything went back to normal.

Thanks for the reply. It's not LED's, I've put in all new bulbs just to make sure it's not a bad bulb issue. I also swapped the wiring harness at both tail lights with harness's I picked up off another patriot.

Just purchased a 2014 Jeep Patriot and it had issues with fast blinking and had the rear turn signal bulb out. Here's a video I made on how to replace the rear blinker/turn signal on the 2014 Jeep Patriot if anyone has not done it before:
