I have the stock radio which list CD player on it. When I put in a mp3 cd with 131 songs on it, i get a error "Disc Error". Anyone else getting this error?
The CD is burnt and finalized. Does it not support mp3? I went through the manual and it did mention mp3 cds.:icon_rolleyes:

The stock radio on the '07s and '08s don't support mp3... but they do have the aux jack. The upgraded radios that do play mp3 don't have the jack.

You have to burn the CD's the standard way with 72mins or 80 mins or whatever the max minutes is, I can usually squeeze 20 songs on there, but otherwise you'll have to plug in an MP3 player through the jack. The jack is easy plug'n play.

I plug my IPod in the Jeep a lot. Better than changing CDs, and it works well. Sometimes I use the slot below the radio, rather than the place in the armrest though, just to keep the wire out of the way of my coffee or coke or whatever I have in the cup holder. The interior is not as "user friendly" as it could be.

Thanks for all the quick replys!!! That solves my question. I have the leather steering wheel with the buttons on them to change the songs/volume. Thats why i prefer a mp3 cd

The Aux wont be controllable from the steerring wheel but ill have to change songs from the device itself!!! But I got to say the 9 speakers sub boston acoustics is really good!

I would always burn mix CDs anyway, so there's some variety, and the IPod on Shuffle works even better. You never know what's going to play next, but they're all songs I like so it;s always a pleasant surprise.

Amazing how they found the one CD player that doesn't have MP3 ability. They must have had a huge batch laying around from the 90's.

I just use the AUX anyhow but fiddling with your MP3 while driving is illegal now here in ontario.

i got the leather steering wheel with thecontrols on it so i can control radio and cd from my fingers while driving. thats why i dont want aux! but aux is better than cd anyhow.. got a pda with 2 gb of music.. enough but again, you gotta control it from the pda!

You could just install the 6 CD changer model RAQ which can play MP3 encoded discs. They are currently running about $200-$215 on flea bay and is a straight plug and play. Also the steering wheel controls will still work fine.

I have the single cd, Boston Acoustics system in my "09 and it plays my mp3 cd's just fine. It also has the aux jack, but I never use it.

yea, must be a 'standard' radio thing. I had the BA 6-disc changer radio in my 07 Compass and it played MP3's just fine.

in fact, my wife burned me 6 CD's so I would NEVER be out of music to listen to. :D
