Any good strut deals?

My drivers site strut is bad, it's all oily and the boot is coming apart. You can press on it and hear the slurping.

I've been doing some looking and have been finding some places price the struts differently like the cost of the passenger side one being significantly cheaper than the drivers side one. When they say "Right" or "Left" is that from the inside or from the outside? (Meaning which one is driver and which is passenger?)

I don't ever take the Jeep off-road so just basic ones are fine.

Know of any good deals right now?

Whenever they start using Left or Right for parts, it's based on sitting in the driver seat. This way it's the same location whether you are in a right hand or left hand drive vehicle.

It was just an unexpected expense I had right now. I'll certainly get them both done but probably a month apart.

If price is a factor shop around
I am having local mechanic do mine
Prices i got for all 4 was $1200 at pep boys
$750 small shop
Found someone to do it as a side job total cost $560 which includes all 4, struts, new mounts , new boots, and alignment
Also if you order all 4 struts together will qualify for manufacturer rebate of $40 for kyb or $90 for monroe

stagg suspension

A set of STAGG struts (4 or 2) can be found on ebay.

Reviews about the product on other forums are positive. I just bought a set of 4, I'll post feedback here after the install. $200 with shipping, can't beat the price.

avoid pep boys at all costs they will rape the sheet out of anyone.

i would disagree
while there are good and bad locations
have had good experience with them,
i send my sister to a location in queens NY, even when the cost is high mechanic would tell her what should be done there and what could be saved money wise by taking it elsewhere,
and their estimates/diagnostics are usually spot on

Here is what I paid at Rock Auto. I also replaced hardware, boots, etc. Shipping was roughly $32.00

think i had exact same order,
my total came to $388 for parts minus $90 rebate
$298 parts
$325 for install which included alignment
total $623
