Thanks to everyone here at J...P.....com, this looks sooo kewl now.
Wife loves it this way, only wish I had stumbled across this Patriot site sooner.

Any suggestions on how to economically repair the rear bumper end? Wife got nailed by a hit-n-run parking nit-wit.
The body shop says it is a hit-or-miss proposition as far as heating it and pulling/pushing it out.
Let me know on this one, it would sure look better if it were closer to new looking than this pic shows.

I had a friend hit a deer on the front bumper that ended up with a similar dent. I crawled under it on a real hot afternoon and with all of my strength, pushed the dent out. The paint still had a few stretch marks but the dent was 90% gone. It's free, so it might be your best economical choice.

I would try to push it out.
The longer it stays dented the harder it will be to attempt a repair.

As for the bumper,
Dent the other side the same way so that it looks like the design?

Somebody dented the top part of the passenger front wheel well on mine. Now it has character, right? It is so frustrating that they can't stay new forever.

Yeh, the exhaust tip is next. "Stealth exhaust."
Tried pushing out the dent with all my 200+lbs. with no positive results the day I discovered it.
Does add charater though.
I like the idea of smacking the other corner to even things out.

Did you take the bumper cover off or did you just try to push it out while it was on the Jeep? That looks like a pretty deep dent, it might have to be hammered (rubber mallet) to get enough force to pop it back. Afterall, the idiot that ran into it was in a car weighing 10 times as much as you do.

JoeB, I didn't take it off. The dealer's body shop suggested warming it, so I used the FLA sun on a 90+ day and a lot of leverage with a pry bar and block.
It is fully reversed on that corner. Just hope for another rear end hit and catch the poor unfortunate.

I think the tail pipe should stay unpainted.

So, Will Jeep catch on and paint the muffler from the factory again at some point? (like they did on my wife's 07 Compass)

lol...I suppose the U.N. would prefer them to be light blue.

Ya hopeully that can just be popped out, you're fortunate that it didnt crack, but i guess you're nice weather helped that. My front bumper cracked when it rubbed against some ice and that cost $1000+

The dad of a friend of mine had a big dent in the side of the bed of his pick up, and one day while we were loading the truck up with brush, and another buddy of mine was standing on the side of teh bed where the dent was, we heard a big "Bang" and then we saw that the dent had been popped out by him standing right over it.

But like was said, the earlier that you can un-dent that bumper the better it will be.
