tt1 please check your post as I have edited both yours and RHill's. Thank you.

Oh hell, my Garmin sometimes says my top speed is over 150...have no idea how it determines it...but whipping out your max. numbers in your GPS to show to a cop may not be the right method...
Your GPS device is only accurate if it has comms with four satellites. If it loses one, it guesses where you are. It can easily lose one in hilly terrain, and a sudden change of height can cause it to misinterpret the information it receives and ascribe it to a rapid horizontal displacement. Also, if you are in the vicinity of a sensitive site, the GPS signal is somewhat less accurate than usual.

If you're not a terrorist, then he probably wasn't referring to you.
Other countries say bad stuff about Americans all the time, I don't let it bother me because the vast majority of it doesn't pertain to me or my mindset.
You are completely right, that i shouldn't let it bother me because ignorant people will be ignorant no matter what you say or do. I just thought it was way off guard and just should not have been said. I ws also a little dissapointed that mods just skipped over it without fixing it because yes ("on the other side" in technical terms), it may not seem like a big deal but in effect it is quite offensive like calling an african american the N-word....that is how offended i was.

But i am over it.

Thank you kenny, i appreciate you editing his comment...although i do wish something would have been done sooner because in the site rules it explicitly states that posting offensive material is strictly prohibited. But like i said to bondi, i am completely over it and i do appreciate that something was done because i know that the people on this site (99.9% of them) are nothing like that at all.

please continue on topic

I pm'ed you about this. I hope you understand that we try to catch everything when it pops up but I believe that this post was before our Moderating time. Whats past is past. We can only try to sensor and clean up things that happened specially if it was from over a year ago.

Thank you

There is a button above each post that allows you to report that post without starting a spat. It is a red triangle containing a black exclamation mark on a white background. No-one will know if you are upset by a post unless you tell them.

Im good now Joe, after talking with kenny about it im all good. There was a way different situation than what i thought and i do take back what i said about no one caring. thanks for letting me know about the report button, i figured it out after and yes you are correct that no one will know unless you tell them and i did let them know...(although publicly)

anyways i am good now so if we can please just let it die lol and get back to talking about patriots!!!

Agreed - My Garmin clocked me at 225 mph when it lost me in the mountains near the Seven Springs Resort in western Pennsylvania. I knew it was lying, since I was doing at least 250!

I've had mine up to 112 mph according to GPS that was tagging along at the time. Speed limit on Michigan freeways is 70mph, but there was nobody else around and I slowed down after topping out....then a spotlight came across the interstate, and I was clocked at 85, though I thought I was doing 80, which is what the ticket was for. The state trooper was pretty nice about it though. Came up to the window and said, "it just doesn't seem fair, does it? Going along minding your own business and bam!"

Just a tad over 90 MPH when I had an 18 wheeler to my left and a guard rail quickly getting closer on my right.

Cruising on I-10 West of San Antonio where speed limit is 80, passed a semi and the speedometer said 90 and there was plenty of power left. Normally drive the speed limit (which is 70 or 75 in Texas) except for I-80 where I usually drive 10 mph under the limit (80 is the limit).

i tend to keep the patriot, in a 70mph zone, at 70mph. Why? To me, the faster you go in any car, you wear it out faster. I think trucks/4x4's are more prone to this so I tend to ride both of my "trucks", the patriot and the xterra, at no faster than 70mph steady. I prefer about 67/68mph for some reason. Besides that, I go no more than 9 miles over the speed limit ever. Never had a ticket and i am in my mid 40's.....

Now when i had my accent, i would regularly ride a79mph for miles and miles no problem. it was alight vehicle with less moving parts than a 4x4 to wear.

I normally cruise 75-80 MPH around town on the highway. But that's just the norm, everyone around my city drives 10-15 over the speed limit.

I've done at least 88 mph but I was deficient of approximately 1.21 Gigawatts of electricity and certainly didn't have any plutonium. :(
