OMG.......i think i'm on to something!
first, for my own piece of mind, i had to go check my
Compass to make sure that the "Jeep" on it was centered. yes, it was. and then it hit me.....like a friggin' freight train it hit me! why hadn't anyone thought of this before? it was so
IN YOUR FACE that people just didn't see how simple the solution was!
the "Jeep" name, being offset to the right on the
Patriots causes increased overall front end turbulence and not only an increase in downforce on the passenger side which, in turn, creates an updraft, if you will, near the windshield BUT a decrease in downforce on the drivers side, resulting in an equal, but opposite reaction.
you see, because some assembly line worker in Belvedere Illinois wasn't paying attention to where he was attaching the "Jeep" nameplate, HE in fact is the cause of the Patriot 'hood flappen' issues!!!
well, that's my story and i'm stickin' to it!!!
