I will be giving my new Pat its first test tonight when I head into work. Shouldn't be too bad but I should have around 5 inches of powdery snow by the time I go in. I can't wait. I'm sure my Pat will do well.
Then you can wait and the CEL will go off automatically or you can go to autozone and have them clear the computer for you.As I said it was an accident. Yes, everything is hooked back up correctly.
We don't always agree but on this we do 100%. It is lame and just something for the media/weather folks to use to whip up the hysteria.Ugg naming storms!
The Affinity's definitely do better in the snow than most folks talk about. When I ran them on my Patriot( they were the OEM tires )they did just fine in the bad weather. I had to change them out because they didn't have the grip to hold the Patriot on slippery hills when towing my duck boat. Normal driving though they were fine. Definitely better than most report. IMHOA.Thanks PPiekarski, that was what I was wondering and thinking. It did go off last night while heading to work. I appreciate it. The Pat did great in the snow even with the Firestone Affinity tires. Not a big fan of those though. My wife drives a Jeep Commander with Firestone Destination LE's and they were MUCH better than the ones I am running.
225/65R17( pictures below )NHPATRIOT, what size LE2's are you running?
We are lucky here. The way the low pressure system is situated it will be pulling warm air in off the ocean and from the South, instead of pulling cold air down from Canada like it did for this last storm, when the storm you are getting( got )arrives here on Monday. Temps are supposed to be 50 and we will see rain. :notworthy:Southeast Michigan is getting hit hard this with ANOTHER 8-12 inches of snow, more testing for all patriots. Anyone else getting more snow?

I'm also running 225/65R17's and no, that size does not rub.NHPATRIOT, I take it there is no rubbing at all with that size?
On my Patriot I get a little bit of rub at full lock( mostly turning to the right ). It isn't bad and as said only at extreme full lock. Most people don't get any with the 225's.NHPATRIOT, I take it there is no rubbing at all with that size?
People are nuts. Not much else you can say. :doh:I'm also running 225/65R17's and no, that size does not rub.
NHPatriot, I had a similar experience with a tailgater Friday after work. Certain counties are better at snow removal than others and when you drive a road that spans a few counties, you know the conditions will change...well, if you pay attention. So I was picking up my Mom to go to a birthday dinner and this idiot is on my rump the whole time. The roads were awesome until we crossed counties then it was hard packed snow and very bumpy. I lifted off the gas pedal and started coasting down to a safer speed. They had to hit their brakes and I watched them slide sideways in the middle of the road. Thankfully no one hit them, but I was laughing my...uh...rump off the whole time I was pulling away from them.
