I will be giving my new Pat its first test tonight when I head into work. Shouldn't be too bad but I should have around 5 inches of powdery snow by the time I go in. I can't wait. I'm sure my Pat will do well.

Keep it on the downlow, but when it comes to snowy long distance commuting here in Ohio, I park the JK and we take the Patriot. From the remote start to the o. Road manners, the Patriot is a safe, competent, all around great vehicle. Three and a half years and 80,000 miles later, I am happy each time it brings my wife and I (we carpool, I drive as she abhors the snow) to and from work safely.

Ugg naming storms!

Stupid question... ...am I the only person picturing Mrs. Klump clapping as she says the storm name?
Nope! I was doing that at work late yesterday...LOL

Yea, I'm looking forward to being one of the few cars on the road this AM as my Jeep Snow Tank...oh, I mean Patriot strolls through this stuff like it isn't there.

Looking outside, I'd guess we have about 5-6" on the ground and the street is unplowed without any tracks on it yet. Maybe I'll be the first to drive on it. :D

I made some fresh tracks in the snow this morning. I'm just glad I leave before most other folks. Roads are not bad, at least for the Patriot, but the other folks out there make me crazy.

I had to chip ice off the headlights this morning. Everything else on the front end is cover, and you can't even tell where the foglights are.

Well the Patriot was awesome in the snow last night and on the way home. I did however jump a coworkers battery and I must say that I disconnected the wrong part by accident. (Yes, I am kicking myself) The small sensor on top of the airbox. The engine cut out and I was able to start right back up but I now have a check engine light on. No loss in performance but the light is on. Any ideas?

Did you connect everything back up correctly?

Why did you take off the PCM to jump the other vehicle?

Stop whining - we got that storm the past few days and now its -9 this morning and only getting colder :) I noticed the rover tires are not the best anymore but was hoping to have sold it by now!

Drove 100 miles through it last night
Average speed 20-30mph
2 hr trip took 4 hrs,
Except for 1 hill where i slid a little pat did fine even with nearly bald tires
Did notice wheels kept getting packed with snow kept clearing out the wheel wells
And this morning with temp of 4 degrees, pat started right up without any hesitation

Do you think some of you eastern types could convince those storms to dump that snow on CA? We're having a drought here--and you folks have more water than you can even get rid of...!

Mother nature telling you to relocate?

:D

Well, I can confirm the Michelin Energy tires (especially a used set off craigslist) aren't nearly as good in the deep snow as the Wrangler SRA's were. I still got through everything ok, but the ole' Pat was definitely a tad more slippy slidey today. Thankfully I just about have enough money saved for some new sneaks.
