When i first got my jeep i bought the oem rubber mats and was happy enough. did notice that shoes would sit above the upper edge of the mats on the passenger side getting the carpet dirty. so after reading about choices on here i went with weather tech for the front.

in my case, big disappointment.

there is no way for the mats to be secrured to the hold down do hickey and so they would slide alittle. they just felt thin and cheap. sent them back.

ordered the rugged ridge and i could not be any happier.

they are thick rubber. have built in secure holes that are quite tight and should not let fluids past, and they fit like a glove...

plus they look really hardcore!!!

rugged ridge for the win!!!

123$

ordered the cargo one too and that's another 60$ so $180 for ALL the mats. Front, rear, cargo.

Got from amazon, with my prime account so free shipping.

rugged ridge are the only way to go if you have that kind of money for mats, I have to make do with oem slush mats to fit the budget- along with plasti dip for the rims rather than buy new
Well weathertech are way more expensive yet in my case are inferior. The fronts alone were $120. That's why I shipped them back. For 120$ for just the fronts they better be perfect and they are not. Not for my 2013 at least.

I had the weather tech for my 2011 and now my 2014, they do slide a bit, but nice and deep to keep the snow mud and what ever off my carpets, never heard of rugged ridge, will take a look at them if they don't slide around I might have to give the a try.

I got the Rugged Ridge mats and they're extremely high quality and look really great! IMO they really add an extra sense of ruggedness to the Jeep's interior.

I heard the rugged ridge rear matts are pretty small. almost Tupperware like (as the front of the matt doesn't go all the way under the front seats). can you guys with them elaborate?

Ming, are you asking about the passenger matts and how far they go forward?

If so, the following thread and JDog's excellent summary cover this. Credit also to MrShoehorn for his excellent pictures and ongoing matt contributions.

http://www.jeeppatriot.com/forum/showthread.php?t=170682

I ended up going RR for the front and Husky for the rear, with the "guess" that the rear Huskies give you an extra 1"-2" more forward coverage.

Read JDog's pros vs. cons, because there are no perfect matts. The RR are VERY thick, semi hard rubber....beautiful. The Huskies are much thinner and I will see if they distort like JDog's picture.

Hope this helps.

Thanks! I thought I saw a post like this somewhere but forgot which matts were spoke of. The RR fronts look awesome and I will def have to upgrade my OEM slush matts for them. I'll probably just keep the OEM rear passenger slush matts as I push them under the seat a bit to cover the carpet were people actually put their feet. I have already purchased a WT cargo liner for my cargo area and it has held up nicely as well as looks great!

My choice thanks to everyone is RR fronts, OEM slush for the passengers, and WT digi liner for the cargo area.

The Rugged Ridge are about $55/pair at Amazon with free shipping.

If you sign up for their free 30 day Amazon Prime trial, you can get free 2 day shipping.
Is that price for the molded ones or the regular ones?

I ask because the best I've seen on the actual molded, tray-like RR ones is around $80US.

I've seen the generic mat ones by RR at $49.

I've been using a good general mat but my issue is I'm in and out so often that I rub off or knock off the top of the lugs where my foot first goes in and then enough moisture seeps in through those holes to dampen my carpet.

When it dries its all stiff and "salty" looking too.
so I'd like to try the tray molded ones and it sounds like RR might be my best bet...I guess I have to look at them as a consumable supply item given my driving habits. My contract isn't long for this world, we are down to 3 of us, from 7, as they computerize stuff. So it may be a moot point soon.

Metaxa,

That is for the very thick, molded ones as shown above. You will not wear through these.

Hmmmmm...I cannot paste a direct link, so Google Amazon Rugged Ridge 12920.30 Black All Terrain Front Floor Liner - Pair

I don't know how this works out for Canadians.

Edit: Bummer, it does look like Amazon Canada is $80.

Yes...despite a dollar at par or close they still stick it to us.

Still if they will withstand my footwork $80 is better than running an extension cord out into the Pat and plugging in a small fan forced air heater over night about every second week of rain season.

If you manage to wear through the Rugged Ridge mats then you'll surely surprise me!

OK, pulled the card, typed in my info...Amazon.ca had the best price I could find up here plus free shipping.

Now we wait on Canada Post I suspect.
Hope they perform as good as they look!
And as you all say.

I just got shipping confirmation from Amazon...on NY Day!

Anyway, have a query for all or any of you who run these floor mats....do you leave them in year round or swap them back out after the crappy season for the OEM carpeted mat?
