I don't have the standard patriot tires I have slightly bigger tires does that rule go for any size and thanks for the info
One way to check is your sidewall height should be 1/2 when deflated.
6" sidewall fully inflated should be 3" deflated for sand.
If new to sand first few times try going out when you know others will be around to help

I doubt very much that the children builing sand-castles will have the equipment to inflate or deflate the tires, Jurassic.

tire pressure

I'm not new to sand I've taken my pick up I used to have on the beach but I only took the riot once down on the beach and the tires were fully inflated and I can feel the difference and I'm going today after work just want to know the right pressure

This isn't the best way... I have tires with extra strong sidewalls. I can be town to 10 psi before I even noticed they are deflated. I use a gauge and air down to about 15psi. It depends on your tires, if you have the stock tires, I would not air down as much, if you have an off road/all terrain tire, I would air down more.

sidewall height is important too. I have more side wall than stock tires, so I am comfortable airing down more as I am less likely to damage my rim.

I go on the beach all the tire and I air down to 19psi with 235/65/17's, works great for me

I went to Saint Augustine FL with 215/65R17 tires at stock pressure and it did fine.

So I got stuck....... The riot was just laying in the sand. I just don't have enough clearance. I really need a lift. I have yokohama geolander 225 65 16 off road all train tires. The other trucks that ride down on the beach are just to big and leave huge ruts. So yeah just figured I'd let you guys know. Anyone from long island new York here

I drive on li beaches mostly rm.
I have an fdii but fdi should be fine.
A couple things for driving in the ruts,
Slow and steady,
Keep it moving, dont stop in mid rut,
When pulling out the rut do it gradually turm the wheel outward slightly and wait for it to take hold may take 50-100 ft to do so.
Pick your stopping points carefully, preferably on firm sand and on flat ground or facing downhill
