The Patriot is not a "real" Jeep - it's a Dodge Caliber with different sheetmetal. If you're ok with that, then great. My wife and I looked at one, because they're the cheapest (IIRC) of the current Jeeps, but we were turned off by how cheap and plasticky they are inside and then also by how ill-equipped the base model is. To really get anything decent for a DD - power windows, door locks, other basic amenities standard in most cars now - adds on like 25% to the base sticker price. And that's before you even do anything to give it any sort of off-road or even all-weather capability.

Remember our first wrangler
Base price was about $9K
Well equipped was about $16K (no hard top, Manual, with 4x4)
even rear defroster was extra
guess you dont consider Base Wrangler a jeep because it didnt come with all your comforts,
As for the GC, just a glorified SUV,
i dont consider a GC a true jeep as it comes with too much leather and bells and whistles, besides the fact i pulled the bumper cover off the GC getting out a parking spot too close to the snow drift,
In the family currently have 1 GC, 1 Liberty, 1 Patriot
Patriot being the 7th Jeep we have had in the household
