any one had problem on 2012 jeep patriot north 4x4 wind noise or cabin noise? mine its to loud on road, my wife complaining it as soon as i got this jeep, eventhough this is my 2nd patriot now the first one is same model but,2008 4x2 that's why i buy this jeep again because i like it but, this problem is killing me esp. on long trip.i dont know if it is from tire or seal of the door. thanks.

hello welcome and jeep on

I turn up the radio, I drive 52 miles a day highway and I get it

Compared to other cars I have driven, i was actually impressed with how quiet the Pat is on the highway. If youre getting a particular whistling noise, I would check on your cabin air filter inside the glovebox and make sure it is clipped in properly. Some members report this fixing the whistling sound (is has something to do with the HVAC system with it is on recirc vs normal flow).

It does get loud if there is a crosswind...but thats the tradeoff for the Jeep brick-like styling haha.

I contributed this to the fact that I drive a brick with wheels. Jeeps of the non luxury modules seem to have some road/ wind noise

thank you all guy's but, i did complain already on my dealership they just told me that was the design of this model they can't do anything with it. and i'm on 28K already i got
oilpan seal leak already they just fixed it yesterday free...

GT Mat or similar sound deadener inside your doors, under your seats, and inside spare tire well, helps keep road noise down. Especially when you have noisy tires.

I don't find the road noise that bad, it's certainly not worse than my truck with A/T tires was.

I'm finding my 2013 5 speed to be plenty quiet, particularly in the engine noise department which is quiet almost to a fault! I say that because I sometimes have difficulty hearing it running, and will think I stalled it but it is still on. Also I am glad for the tach as it is a visual reminder to shift as I really can't hear the engine turning up. I am running studs but can barely detect the sound they make at hwy speeds. My guess is they have made improvements in the later year models as I don't hear any "raucous " engine noise that Edmunds wrote about when they written off the Patriot. Makes me think they didn't even bother to test the new model.

AKriverrat907, that's exactly what I was thinking too. Newer models are much quieter than my 08, for sure.
I believe that is true. I've ridden in my friend's 07 Compass over the weekend and he and I also agree my Patriot is considerably quieter.
